Fitness preparers combine their love of fitness with the desire to help others lead a healthier life. Fitness workers teach and motivate individuals or groups in exercise activities. They should be both knowledgeable and outgoing, and enjoy working with people.

Places where physical trainers include gyms, resort centers, hospitals, yoga and Pilates centers, country clubs, universities and even private homes. Fitness trainers are increasingly being used by businesses, in which they organize and conduct health and wellness programs for employees of a company.

Many coaches in their professional approach. Personal trainers work with clients individually, either at the client or at a gym. They provide a high level of personalized service and can customize the program to meet the individual needs of customers.

Group exercise instructors organize group exercise sessions at a health club, company or station. Certification is usually required in the fitness industry for employment. There are many organizations that offer certifications and the most reputable certification groups are accredited by the National Commission of Certification Bodies.

A bachelor’s degree in physical education, exercise science, kinesiology or a related area, in addition to experience, you usually need to move to management positions in a gym or health center. Management skills are also required to advance to supervisory or management positions, and university courses in business administration, administration, accounting, or personnel management may be needed to acquire additional skills.
